Last Day At Work
Rhonda Gail | January 31, 2010I am officially unemployed. Yikes! I quit a job I love to move back to my tiny hometown. I just be crazy, right?! It’s just that being near family when you have two small children is absolutely priceless to me. My family has only seen Harper twice, and he’s 8 months old! That just doesn’t work for me, so we made a huge leap. I have a week to pack up my life and say goodbye to some really good people. I never made many friends here, but I’m so in love with the ones I have. Quality over quantity, right? My coworker Luis brought his camera to work yesterday to capture my last day.
Vanessa was being sentimental and began saying how we’d always have each other, and as it rained outside, we began to sing a little Rihanna.
Now that it’s raining more than ever
Know that we’ll still have each other
You can stand under my umbrella
You can stand under my umbrella-ella-ella-ay-ay-ay….
Naturally, that would lead to this next shot.
Thanks so much to Luis for sending me the pictures! They serve as a reminder of a few important things:
- Do not wear that outfit again. ever.
- If getting together with Ammar and Luis, call ahead to see what we’re wearing.
- Vanessa will always let me stand under her umbrella.
- I have had amazing coworkers and am so blessed to also call them friends.

I love my family, hobbies, friends, martinis, houndstooth, and Audrey Hepburn. My kids are my world but I'm trying to figure out who I am besides a mother. This should be interesting...
