Rainbow Brite in Kindergarten. I wore this to school and it was a major hit. This is the first costume I remember. My mom made this herself, from head to toe. (My brother is not in costume.)
Okay, so this isn’t actually for Halloween. This is a “play” I made my brother do with me. I was Dorothy and he was a munchkin. I was actually just wearing a dress I had in my closet, but my brother was wearing parts of a Seven Dwarfs costume that mom made for my cousin’s school play… with hammer pants.
I wasn’t actually in costume, but my brother was a cowboy for school.

Nick’s first time to wear a costume, he was 19 months old. Hated his $30 monkey costume. Made for a sad mommy.

For Halloween at one of my old workplaces, we dressed in Wizard of Oz costumes. I was (obviously) Dorothy and Ashley was the scarecrow. I took old red pumps that had color chipping off and glittered them up. I left a trail of glitter everywhere i go. My mom made my costume in a day.

My Uncle Danny in his KISS costume a MILLION years ago.

I wish I had a full shot of this costume. My mom was TO DIE FOR gorgeous in her Egyptian costume for an event at my middle school. I also wish she hadn’t loaned this costume to someone who never returned it.

I believe this was the last time I did the Sexy Something costume. I was “bad kitty” and it was truly last minute. I realized I had a costume party to go to at a frat house literally the day of. I ran to the mall twenty minutes before closing and found an ears and tail set at Claire’s. So I ran around the mall and gathered fishnets and a muscle tee that read “Bad Kitty.” Done. I paired it with my own miniskirt and boots and painted on whiskers and nose.

A little preview for this year’s costume! Check back after the weekend for a Halloween recap!
