A couple of my aunts and cousins threw me a baby shower yesterday and it was lovely! I am so thankful for the generosity of my hostesses and guests! I posted the other day about shower dress shopping and the chosen dress worked out great! I ended up running really late getting to the shower (yep, my mom and I were about 15 minutes late to my own shower), so didn’t have time to dig out just the right accessories. Oh well, the belly was the focus anyway!

The food was so tasty! There were cheesecake-stuffed strawberries, some sort of chicken cheeseball with crackers, nuts, jalapeno cheese tart, and tons of fresh fruit! There was also cake and punch. Every time I saw someone eating, I had to have more! Oops.
How awesome is this wreath? My Aunt Connie made it for my hospital door hanging! You can’t tell in this picture, but there is a “Q” hanging in the center. I love it!
I was so excited that Brandy and Finn came! I have known Brandy for probably 7 or 8 years and hadn’t seen her in at least 5! They drove a couple of hours just for my shower! Brandy blogs here! Brandy brought me one of her spare Moby wraps and showed me how to tie it. I’m a bit intimidated, but I’ll learn quickly, I think. She also made me some gorgeous handmade gifts and other stuff. I’ll share more about the shower gifts in another post!
Brooke and I have been good friends for 18 years! This made us feel terribly old as we counted it up during a conversation with a 20-year-old guest.
I have known Stacie for….wow, a long time. Probably 10 years. She was a young teenager when she started dating my brother. They parted ways years ago, but she and I remain close friends!
I was so glad Vicki was able to make it. The morning of the shower, she was unsure, so I was delighted to see her! She has been with my sweetheart brother for a while now and we hope she’s sticking around with our crazy family!
There were other there, but I’m horrible with remembering to get pictures with everyone. I’m not sure how that came to be, since I used to come home with at least 50 pictures any time I went to an event. I didn’t even get a picture with my mom, who looked amazing! I am so grateful to my family and friends for supporting me. This was the first shower I’ve ever had and it was fun! I’m also thankful for the generous gifts we received and I can’t wait to share them with you all.
I wouldnt have missed it for the world! You look absolutely amazing Rhonda, pregnancy really suits you! I cant wait to see you again and Pres reeeeally wants to hang out with Nick so they can play legos together!!
