I’m sure you’ve all heard that coconut oil is great for cooking and has beauty uses as well. I use it in many different dishes, sometimes to coat a baking dish, sometimes to saute, sometimes just for tastiness and added nutritional value. I don’t use it in place of butter as some people do, because … BUTTER. mmmmm.
Anyway, coconut is my favorite eye makeup remover, facial cleanser, and deep conditioning treatment as well. While soaking the bathtub with a coconut mask on my hair Sunday evening, I realized I needed to shave. I couldn’t reach my shaving cream and was feeling lazy, so I slathered the remaining coconut oil in my bowl onto my legs and shaved. AMAZE. Seriously. Do it. I had the closest shave ever (and I’m here to tell you, my razor was super dull and nicked me up last week) and not a single nick or razor bump. My legs were so smooth after and didn’t even need moisturizing!
What’s your favorite way to use coconut oil?

Some people replace butter for health reasons. However, we believe that real, grass-fed butter such as Kerrygold is actually very good for you.
