I got a call yesterday from Nicholas’ (yep, back to calling him Nicholas again, since that’s what he decided to go by now) school. The gifted teacher left a message to inform me that Nicholas was placed into the gifted program. We are so delighted that he has been given this opportunity. I was in the gifted program as a child and it was a wonderful experience. He will be pulled from his regular class for 2.5 hours on Tuesdays and Thursdays, starting tomorrow. I think this will also help with managing his ADHD. He is frequently bored in class and I fully expect this to help.
Last night, we got the keys to our new house! I am beyond excited and more in love with the house every time I’m there! This was the first time we’d seen it with electricity and water, so I was way too excited to get an ever closer look. The scary thing is, Quentin has already taken to climbing up in the stairs and I can not handle it! I can’t wait to get a baby gate this weekend! I want him to learn, but it’s the going back down that really freaks me out. He seems to think he can walk straight down. For those of you with stairs and children, at what age were you able to let them go up and down freely without standing on the stairs yourself?
I have started up my Fall classes at ASU and while I really enjoy school, it’s hard, y’all. I pulled out 3 As and one B for Summer. I’m not sure I can do that this term, having Anatomy and Physiology 1&2, Nutrition, and Human Wellness! We’ll see.
