After we were officially Husband and Wife and had relaxed in our hotel room, we met up with a few friends in our hotel bar.  We were staying at the Holiday Inn in downtown Mobile and the bar was pretty cool.  A little cheesy, but cool.

From there, we moved on to Hopjacks, a really cool pizza and beer place.  They have every beer imaginable and some fantastic pizza.

Amber is taking this photo.  Left to right: Leigh Ann, who always looks that pretty, me, who always looks that chubby, Dustin, who always pretends to lick people in photos, Brandon, who always looks a bit silly, and Rhett, who always looks… like Rhett.

From there, Rhett and Leigh Ann went home and the rest of us went to my go-to spot in Mobile, Grand Central.  It’s a bar that has live bands most nights, pool tables, and a pretty lively atmosphere.  This night, though, the band was cliche and the place wasn’t exactly hopping.  It didn’t matter though, because there was booze.

After Brandon and Dustin played pool upstairs, we all went downstairs, where I tried to teach Brandon how to dance to a live band.

Dustin and I hugged as Brandon looked annoyed.

I don’t care that we look toasted, this is probably my favorite of the night.

After we shut down Grand Central, we went a few doors down to another of my regular spots, Boo Radley’s.  I was ready to carry on!

And from this point on, the pictures can show you just  how much we drank…

Seriously, one of the best nights of my life!  Wow, that was a lot of fun to relive after five months!  Now I want another night out with my hubby and friends.

Related posts brought to you by Yet Another Related Posts Plugin.]]> I am too busy (and if I’m being honest, entirely too lazy) to write a recap of our wedding day five months after the fact.  I’ll just let the photos do most of the talking.

We met our photographer, Vanessa Wallace, in the courthouse (she only does this on the side, but if you want her contact info, I can get it for you).  I went to high school with Vanessa and she did the photos as a gift.  We weren’t going to have a photographer because of budgetary restrictions, but she wasn’t having that! SO GRATEFUL!  We signed in at the window and within minutes, we were in the judge’s office, standing opposite a shiny conference table.  Moments after that, we were officially married!  It went by so quickly, I’m so glad we had someone to capture it on camera!

Being the classy peeps we are, we headed straight to Buffalo Wild Wings for a post-wedding lunch.

We relaxed in our hotel room with the dessert and champagne Dustin's dad and stepmom sent us.

We then got ready to go out with friends! Hubby cleans up nicely!

I’m not into traditional weddings for myself (obviously), but there are two traditional things I love and I’m doing.  One is a plain gold wedding band.  I got my white gold beauty a few days ago, and it’s SO PERFECT.  It sits nicely beside my solitaire.  The other tradition I choose to uphold is “Something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue.”  I can’t explain why, but I just like the sentiment.  I’m getting married tomorrow and I only have these four things halfway covered!

Something Old – I have known since I was a little girl that I would wear my grandmother’s pearls on my wedding day.  I wear them all the time as it is, and tomorrow will be no different.  These pearls were worn to my mom’s senior prom and in a cousin’s Junior Miss pageant.

Something New – Obviously, I bought all new clothes for this occasion, so there ya go.

Something Borrowed – ?  I will probably see what I can pull out of my mom’s jewelry box.  If you know my mom, you’re wishing me good luck right now.

Something Blue – ?  This one really has me at a loss!  I would wear blue undies, but I have to wear my control tops under my body-hugging dress. Ha.  I’m sure I can find something blue somewhere.  I just really need to start looking.  I have less than 24 hours.

Anyone have any ideas for me?
